WHAT IS THE ESL PROGRAM?

The ESL (English as a Second Language) program strives to support English language learners until they are able to function independently both academically and socially in the mainstream classroom.

English is taught and practiced in natural and meaningful ways, helping students learn basic communication skills and academic language necessary for success in all subjects.

The ESL program is committed to assisting classroom teachers in their
efforts to help ESL students to participate in the mainstream program.

WPC offers ESL classes for anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and skill of the English language. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm in the Education Wing.
