The Symons Shaffer Scholarship Fund states:
"The purpose of this fund is to show the young people of this congregation that the Church cares about them, values their participation in the work and activities of the church and supports them in their future!"
A list of selection criteria:

Recipients must be active members of WPC.

The applicant may be a high school senior or a student enrolled in a two or four year college, university, trade school or technical school. The applicant may be an adult. The applicant may be a graduate student or a seminarian of the Presbyterian Church USA. In all cases the student must be enrolled in a program leading to a degree.
Applications must be submitted to Pastor Lisa no later than May 1, 2011.
