Heartstrings

You might be asking yourself, “What is a heartstring?” after coming across this page. Well, that's okay, we will tell you! The Heartstrings are a group of musicians who practice their dulcimers together at Woodstock Pres. And now you might be asking yourself, “What is a dulcimer?” We thought you might want to know that too!

A dulcimer is a folk instrument with three or four fretted strings that are plucked with the players' fingers or with a pick. The instrument sits on the players' lap with the strings facing up. It is quite a beautiful instrument!

The Heartstrings practice on Tuesday mornings at WPC and play not only in worship but all over the area! If you are interested in learning to play, please reach out to Vicky Germroth for more information. Contact information can be found via the church office.
